I was trying to buy a "babycakes" brand cupcake maker for my daughter for Christmas but they were sold out. She's 10 years old and I wanted to make sure I got her a quality item. But this sunbeam is about half the price and works flawlessly. It does everything the "babycakes" one says it does, so I am very pleased with my purchase. My daughter made cupcakes by herself for most of the afternoon today. I think they taste better without the cup cake wraps. The cupcakes come out perfectly and there is no mess to clean up because of the non-stick surface. I would definitely encourage anyone who is looking to buy a fancy cupcake maker to get this one for less money.
